Jazzed About It is a new web series featuring today's rising young jazz stars. Each episode spotlights an outstanding performer and their music, providing an up-close look at their

personal journeys in  jazz.

The series was created by award-winning producer/director Jim Burns, whose PBS documentary Jimmy Van Heusen - Swingin' with Frank & Bing chronicles the life and music of the four-time Oscar-winning songwriter.  Burns is also the producer and director of She's Got Jazz, a documentary featuring the music of four women who are changing the face of jazz

in the 21st century.

Co-writer for the series is Will Friedwald, author of nine books about jazz and popular music,

including Jazz Singing, Sinatra! The Song is You, and most-recently, Straighten Up and Fly Right,

a biography marking the centennial of Nat King Cole.

Jazzed About It has been recognized with Best Web Series awards at the Los Angeles Motion Picture Festival and the New Orleans Second Line Film Festival.
